Quick Apfelkuchen
serves 4 to 6
Grease 8 x 8 inch tins | |
2 c. flour | Sift together |
3 tsp. baking powder | |
1 tbsp. sugar | |
1/2 tsp. salt | |
4 tbsp. Crisco | Add Crisco. Work into dry ingredients as for pie dough. |
1 egg | Break egg into milk; beat and add to mixture; mix until all flour mixture is formed into a soft dough. Spread dough. |
1/2 c milk | |
5 to 6 apples | Peel and cut apples into small wedges; arrange on top of dough.. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. |
Cinnamon | Sprinkle over kuchen if desired |
