Apfel Kuchen II<

serves 4 to 6


2 c. flour

Sift dry ingredients

3 tsp. baking powder

1 tbsp. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

4 tbsp. Crisco

Work in as for pie dough

1 egg

Break egg into milk; beat and add to mixture; mix until all flour mixture is formed into a soft dough.

1/2 c milk

Grease 8 x 8 inch tins. Spread dough.

5 to 6 apples

Peel and cut apples into small wedges; arrange on top of dough.


Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and raisins if desired.


Raisins (optional)

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
