(Scones or Biscuits)

125 g flour

Stir together

15 ml Baking Powder

2 ml salt

30 ml Butter or lard

Blend into flour with fingertips (or, if you are sassenach, with a pastry blender)

180 ml cold water

Fork gradually into flour blend using only as much ice water as is required.

Pat biscuits into a flat pan with floured fingers. Mark into triangles. Bake 20 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Alternately, biscuits can be rolled out and cut into shapes with biscuit cutters.
