(Oat Bread)

serves 4 to 6

500ml milk

Microwave together 2 minutes on high, then 5 minutes on low to allow oats to soften and cook

50g honey

30g hemp hearts

30g steel-cut oats

200g rolled oats

7 grams yeast

Sprinkle over top of porridge. Let sit until foamy to prove the yeast

5 grams salt

Mix together. Add to the porridge. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise approximately one hour. It will increase in size but will not double.

300g whole wheat flour

Heat oven to 350 degrees with a pizza stone in it. Shape loaf into a round loaf and let rise on a sheet of parchment about half an hour. When risen, place on stone in oven and bake 40 minutes
